The research developed in this work understands the reconstruction of historical instruments as a field of applied investigation, in which constructive practice is not regarded as a final stage, but as a constitutive part of the method itself. The construction of historical instruments involves the critical interpretation of sources, the formulation of constructive hypotheses, and the continuous evaluation of these hypotheses through acoustic response and musical use.
